Nutshell: Stuck in a time loop where its forever Christmas, a Brazilian family man who hates the holiday starts to learn valuable lessons about what's important in life.
Top Cast: Arianne Botelho, Ashley Adler
Review: Groundhog Day meets Christmas day. The family interactions make this a success. Dad is a tad extreme, but you will laugh out loud but as the movie goes on the serious side may make you cry. The lesson is powerful - live every day like Christmas Day!
2017 - PG-13 - 100 MINS - COMEDY
Nutshell: Having finally gotten used to each other's existence, Brad and Dusty must now deal with their intrusive fathers during the holidays.
Top Cast: Will Ferrel, Mark Wahlberg
Review: Better than the original and although it isn't traditional classic, set over the festive period, it offers a great comedy treat. Ferrell and Lithgow together is genius. Sit back and enjoy.

Nutshell: Fed up with being single on holidays, two strangers agree to be each other's platonic plus-ones all year long, only to catch real feelings along the way.
Top Cast: Emma Roberts, Luke Bracey
Review: Along the same line as Love Actually, this rom-com delivers the cheese you want. At times you will shake your head at the cliches but be laughing as you do it. Lean in and get in a great mood.
2008 - PG - 92 MINS - DRAMA
Nutshell: A holiday fable that tells the story of an elderly man discovering lover for the first time.
Top Cast: Martin Landau, Elizabeth Banks
Review: Filled with humor, emotion and honest, this unexpected gem provides a variation to the usual Christmas rom-com. Watch out for the unexpected twist.

Nutshell: In the depths of Finland mountains, nearly 500m deep lies the closest ever guarded secret of Christmas. The time has come to dig it up and this Christmas, everyone will believe in Santa Claus.
Top Cast: Jorma Tommila, Onni Tommilla
Review: It is nice to find a movie that looks to provide originality to the Christmas folklore. Although absurd and a little funny, the adventure builds throughout - more a comic horror movie than a happy children's story.
2006 - PG - 101 MINS - DRAMA
Nutshell: A drama that focuses on the period in Mary and Joseph's life where they journied to Bethlehem for the birth of Jesus.
Top Cast: Keisha Castle-Hughes, Oscar Isaac
Review: A traditional story, going back to where it all started. No Santa here, but more a simple story focusing on faith. Even if you are not religious, you will appreciate this one.
2014 - PG - 102 MINS - COMEDY
Nutshell: After Santa Claus is arrested and jailed, a recently paroled prisoner and his young son attempt to save Christmas before it is too late.
Top Cast: Jim Broadbent, Rafe Spall
Review: Although this started slow, this British movie, with lots of familiar faces, was surprising in its charm, humor and illustration of the importance of family and believing. Classic scene of Santa with a braided beard trying to act hard were hilarious.
2022 - TV-PG - 93 MINS - ROMANTIC
Nutshell: In the days leading up to Christmas, a young and newly engaged heiress experiences a skiing accident. After being diagnosed with amnesia, she finds herself in the care of the handsome lodge owner and his daughter.
Top Cast: Lindsay Lohan, Chord Overstreet
Review: Lohan has found her niche in Christmas rom-coms. Cheesy, predictable, a little silly, but all make for a nice watch to get your Christmas spirits flowing.
2020 - PG - 112 MINS - COMEDY
Nutshell: Kate Pierce, now a cynical teen, is unexpectedly reunited with Santa Claus when a mysterious troublemaker threatens to cancel Christmas…forever.
Top Cast: Kurt Russell, Goldie Hawn
Review: Not as good as the original. If you like Kurt as Santa in the first, then you probably will again. CGI is questionable and it is a pleasant watch but hard not to compare to the original.
2023 - PG - 117 MINS - COMEDY
Nutshell: A man on a mission to win his neighborhood Christmas decoration contest. After inadvertently making a deal with a mischievous elf, Chris must race against the clock to break a spell that threatens to ruin Christmas.
Top Cast: Eddie Murphy, Jillian Bell
Review: An extreme view of Christmas rivalry with a key message: "Comparison is the thief of joy". A gently amusing although unbelievable watch - folks just seem to accept some very weird things happening.
